Trustees and School Councils show their appreciation!
February 13 to 17 is Staff Appreciation Week.
Staff Appreciation Week is recognized by the Alberta School Councils’ Association and the Canadian Home and School Federation. The purpose of this week is to encourage parents and the wider community to recognize the personal and professional contributions that our teachers and school staff make to children and their education. Every school has dedicated teachers and staff members such as secretaries, teacher assistants, bus drivers and custodians.
During the week, the Trustees participate in Staff Appreciation and take a something showing our appreciation (fruit baskets, cupcakes, cookies or juice boxes) to the schools.
As well, many of our school councils’ host a Staff Appreciation lunch at the schools to say Thank You to the staff for making our schools an awesome learning experience. Each staff member’s part of making the school year a success is appreciated.
