Clearview Public Schools Receives Community Partner Award.
Clearview Public Schools was one of seven central Alberta school divisions that received the Community Partner Award from Red Deer College at a banquet on May 17. This award was in recognition of Clearview’s partnership with Red Deer College and the Education Assistant Program. This year 18 Learning and Education Assistants (LEAs) from Clearview participated in the Red Deer College/Clearview Public Schools initiative.
Red Deer College established the Community Partner Award to honour their many partners and to celebrate the spirit of collaboration that benefits the overall community.
In March 2013 the “Learning Pathways in Central Alberta Memorandum of Understanding” was signed by Red Deer College and the seven school divisions. This agreement recognized the need to enhance learning opportunities in the region by promoting high school completion, the transition to post-secondary learning and increase educational choices for students. At the May 17, 2017 banquet, a renewal of the memorandum of understanding was signed by Red Deer College and the seven partners who will continue working together to find innovative programming options for students.
