Clearview Public Schools is proud to celebrate and share out a "star" member of our team who is helping our students succeed.
Meet George Nichols, school bus driver in the Castor area and educational assistant at Gus Wetter School. George was raised on a farm in the Castor area. In 1973 he married the love of his life, Judy and moved to their farm northwest of Castor. They have enjoyed raising crops, cattle, pigs, chickens, peacocks, pheasants, dogs and cats.
They were blessed with two daughters—Janelle and Nolana. The girls have both been involved in many sports—competing and winning at the National level as young adults. George has played fastball and slowpitch with various teams and he and Judy have enjoyed travelling to many communities and tournaments.
They have been blessed with a wonderful son-in-law and two amazing grandchildren—Brynley and Gavin.
George began bus driving with Clearview in 2002 and in 2007 he took on being an Educational Assistant in the Industrial Arts Shop class at Gus Wetter School. He says “Everyday has been a rewarding experience and I have enjoyed being a part of the Clearview School Division.”
George has decided to retire this year but may be available as a sub bus driver for some special school events.
Thank you George for the work you do, and for being part of the Clearview team!
