Be a leader in your community.  Become a school board trustee!

Trustees, as part of the Clearview Public Schools, make vital decisions about how education is delivered in your community.  School board decisions affect our children’s education and the cultural, social and economic life of our local communities.  If you have a passion and interest in the success of educating children and a vision for local education, consider running for school board.

Preserving the community voice of locally-elected school board trustees on education in Alberta is more important than ever before. That’s why preparations are well under way at Clearview Public Schools for this fall’s school board trustee elections.

Across the province, there are 61 public, separate and francophone school boards with a total of more than 400 locally-elected school board trustees. These trustees collectively make decisions on behalf of about 600,000 students in kindergarten to Grade 12, and decide the best ways to allocate a total of $6 billion in taxpayer dollars on local education priorities.

Alberta communities continue to benefit from the local representation of the trustees they elect every four years, along with their municipal elected officials.

Nomination deadline is Monday, September 18 and elections are Monday, October 16.

Nominations are accepted at the Central Services office between 10:00am and 12:00pm noon (5031 50 Street, Stettler).
