Parents now able to register and pay for busing on-line!
Starting in August 2017, Clearview Public Schools will now offer the ability for parents and legal guardians to register for busing services, and pay for busing services, through the website.
To provide more convenience for parents to access busing services, parents will be able to register their children through the Clearview website. Further, fees for school of choice, yard services or in-town service may now be paid securely on-line either as a one-time payment or set up for periodic payments .
As this is the first year for the on-line services, the new system is being piloted. Parents may choose to either pay in-person or use the new on-line system.
Unlike in prior years that would require parents physically to go to Clearview's Central Services office, parents with children already receiving services will now be able to arrange for services conveniently at home or with their mobile device. Bus passes for in-town services will be provided directly to students by the bus driver.
Parents of students new to Clearview busing will continue to contact the Transportation Services office directly.
"We know our parents are very busy." shares Superintendent Peter Barron. "While parents can still visit the Transportation Services Centre location to make arrangements, we believe many of our parents will appreciate how convenient and easy paying on-line can be. With the added benefit of being able to also register for busing services on-line, Clearview is making the process even more efficient and convenient."
Parents that decide to pay “in-person” must bring cash or cheque to the Transportation Service Centre, located at the new location on the east side of Stettler (4907 42 Street). For those parents who prefer not to make one-time payments, they can set up periodic payments using the on-line payment system.
Parents will no longer be able to pay transportation fees at the Central Services office.
The new services are available as an option for parents in 2017-18, and starting 2018-19 is planned as the first option for many parents with students already receiving services.
