Four wards were determined by acclamation last month for Guy Neitz (Ward 1), Kimberley Smyth (Ward 2), Erika Grice (Ward 5), and Ken Checkel (Ward 6) on their commitment to represent their areas for the next four years as a trustee for the Clearview Public Schools.  Ken Checkel will return as the incumbent trustee for Ward 6.

“Welcome to the new and returning trustees. I’m looking forward to a great year with the Board,” said Superintendent Barron. “I would also like to thank the outgoing trustees for their years of service and dedication to the Board of Clearview Public Schools.”

The elections were run in cooperation with the Town of Stettler and the County of Stettler.  “We really appreciated the help of our local government partners in this election,” shared Returning Officer Peter Neale.  “The Town and County really helped make this a smooth election process and ensured that any person that wished to vote for school trustee had the opportunity.”

The Trustees will be sworn into their official roles at the Organizational Meeting on October 26, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
