Clearview Public Schools’ Trustee Resigns
Clearview Public Schools Trustee Staci Gerlitz, one of the two trustees representing Ward 3 (Town of Stettler) has officially resigned her position today. Ms. Gerlitz has been a Trustee with Clearview Public Schools since October of 2013.
In her resignation letter, Gerlitz stated, “It is with a heavy heart, that I resign my position as School Board Trustee for Clearview Public Schools. I have moved and no longer eligible to represent Stettler. I am forever grateful for the opportunity I had working with everyone in the division and the friendships I have made along the way. We really became a team and I am extremely proud to have been a part of that. I would like to thank my fellow trustees and senior administration for being so kind and patient with me through my term.”
Chair Cheri Neitz shared her thanks to Ms. Gerlitz, “Ms. Gerlitz’s enthusiasm, dedication and passion for the students, staff and community will be missed. It was a pleasure having Staci on the Board, and we wish her well.”
At the June 16, 2016 Board Meeting, the Board of Trustees will discuss whether to hold a by-election or wait until the 2017 election to fill the vacancy.
