Clearview Public Schools is proud to celebrate and share out a "star" member of our team who is helping our students succeed:
Meet Melody Kent, one of our great bus drivers who has driven students in Halkirk to their community schools for 36 years!
Melody grew up in Donalda and is the third oldest of eleven children. On July 21, 1967, she married her best friend Dale Kent of Rosalind. Dale and Melody have four boys (Bob, Greg, Rick and Jeremy), five grandsons and two granddaughters, with a great grandbaby due in October. Sadly, Jeremy passed away in August 2004.
The Kents have lived in Halkirk for over 44 years. "I have watched my bus kids grow up, get married and have kids of their own, some are students on my bus at this time," shares Melody. "All my bus kids have been a joy to drive and I have found my driving years to be very rewarding."
As well as being a mom, grandmother and bus driver, Melody has tried many things and different employment opportunities, including volunteering for many worthwhile causes. In her spare time, she loves to read and every summer goes camping with family. Melody loves to keep very busy.
Thank you Melody for the work you do, and for choosing to be part of the Clearview team!
