Message from Superintendent Leys
As we all recover from Halloween's excitement, I hope everyone enjoyed the evening and managed to keep up with the energy levels of sugarcharged, costume-clad kiddos! After all, it’s not every day we see superheroes, animals, and wizards filling our classrooms and neighbourhoods, and the day-after energy slump (and maybe a bit of leftover candy) is a small price for all that joy.
Looking ahead, we’re moving into a season marked by both reflection and change. November brings a special time for remembrance as we pause to honour those who have served and sacrificed. Remembrance Day is an essential part of our school culture, and it’s an opportunity for our students to learn and understand the importance of courage, duty, and peace. These lessons resonate deeply and help build the foundation of character and respect in our schools.
And as winter makes its gradual arrival, we’re all preparing for shorter days, colder weather, and the annual challenge of resetting our routines for daylight saving time. For those that need to get children back on track, remember that a gradual return to regular bedtimes can work wonders to smooth the adjustment. Let’s bundle up, brace ourselves for winter’s chill, and look forward to the unique magic that this season brings to our community.
We All Belong - We All Succeed
