COVID-19 Update (2021-11-26)
Posted on 11/26/2021

To our Clearview families,

Clearview Public Schools is providing the following communication to our families to assist in sharing information on the opportunity for parents’ choice towards a COVID-19 vaccination for youth aged 5 to 11, and to ensure clarity on the recent information announced by the Government on vaccinations available for youth.

A communication from Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health addressed to parents is available below.

Please note that Clearview schools are not providing COVID-19 vaccination services nor providing the opportunity for COVID-19 vaccinations in schools. Families, if interested, must book vaccinations directly with Alberta Health Services. Students of Clearview are able to attend school regardless of their COVID-19 vaccination status.

Parent or guardian consent is required for youth to receive their vaccine.

Appointments for children aged 5 to 11 can be booked through the Alberta Vaccine Booking system, or by calling Health Link at 811. Appointments will be available primarily at Alberta Health Services clinics around the province as of November 26.  Parents and guardians are encouraged to seek out reliable and factual information to inform their decisions on vaccines for their children.

Your children are welcome in our schools regardless of their COVID-19 vaccine status (see the linked letter from Alberta’s Minister of Education).

We would like to thank you for working with us to follow COVID-19 guidelines this year, which has helped keep our classrooms operating in-person. Having students in school and enjoying all of the wonderful opportunities our educators can provide has been great. Thank you for partnering with us and thank you for your support.
