Registration for School

Registering for school is easier than ever!


There are three ways to start your registration process.  Note that your school will follow up after any of the options to confirm the information or support the full process.

Option: Register On-Line

Clearview Public Schools offers on-line registration for the convenience of our parents and legal guardians.  This is the ideal process if you can upload your child's information (such as a picture of your child's birth certificate) and you are comfortable with using on-line forms.  If not already done before, you will need to set up a username and password access.

Option: Intent to Register (Wm. E Hay Stettler Secondary Campus Only)

If you would like to communicate to your school that you would like to register using our easy and quick on-line tool, this is the best option for you.  After communicating your intent to register, the school will contact you to set up a time to assist you in registering either using the on-line process or our paper-based registration form.

Option: Paper-Based Registration

If you are not comfortable with using on-line forms and would like to print our form to fill out, paper-based registration forms are available.  After printing and preparing the information, please contact the school you are registering for to arrange the best time to delivery your forms and review the information.

Frequently Asked Questions


Do I need to create a new account to register my child? 

Families who are registering for the first time using the on-line registration process will need to create a new account.

In subsequent school years, parents need to create a new account if this is the first student to register using the On-line PowerSchool Registration Form. If parents are returning to register, they will sign in using their previously created registration account.

What information do I need to register my child?

For students living outside villages or towns, legal land descriptions and blue sign addresses are needed.

You should also have ready the emergency contact information, including phone number and E-mail address.


What documentation do I need to register?

The preferred documentation is a provincial (Canadian) birth certificate.

Alternate documentation could include: 

  • Canadian citizenship document, 

  • Student Visa, 

  • Student immigration papers or study permit,  

  • Landed immigrant documentation,

  • Guardianship Letter: If parents live outside of Alberta, legal guardianship must be applied for through Alberta Government.


What if I do not have access to a scanner?

  • Take a photo with your smartphone, tablet or computer, and then upload it directly to the form.

  • Email the photos to the appropriate school personnel.

  • Contact the school and arrange how to bring your supporting documents into the school to ensure your registration is complete.
