It’s School Bus Driver Appreciation Day!
May 4th is Bus Driver Appreciation Day and at Clearview Public Schools we are truly missing our team of school bus drivers. Our bus yards are full of clean, sanitized buses ready for when school starts once again. Staff are committed to being ready to start when needed. Like our teaching and support staff, many of our drivers have said “they miss their kids”!
Director of Transportation, Maryann Wingie shared, “One of our bus drivers told me a story of how she drove her bus route in her own car and waived and honked at all her families as she went by. The students are like family to our staff. We want to express our sincere thanks to the hard work and dedication shown by our drivers during this tough time.
Today we wanted to remember your special day and say “Thank You!” Your commitment to the safety and the wellbeing of our students does not go unnoticed. You are an important part of each student’s day and ours.”
The first Monday in May is set aside annually as School Bus Driver Appreciation Day. Students, parents and staff of Clearview Public Schools recognize the important function that school bus drivers serve.
Thank you to all Clearview bus drivers for your dedication, patience and commitment to safety!
