Students returning to school for 2020-21 school year
Clearview is excited and ready to welcome students back after the summer!
To our Clearview Families,
On July 21, 2020, the Alberta Government confirmed that school divisions will proceed with opening classrooms to students under “Scenario 1 - In-school classes resume (near normal with health measures)”. For a copy of the news release from the Alberta Government and their K to 12 school re-entry information, click HERE and HERE.
We understand that this is a significant shift in how our schools have historically operated and we are confident that our families, students and staff are up to the task.
There has been considerable planning by Clearview’s staff to be ready and welcoming for our students in the Fall. Having our students back in school and in a safe learning environment is our first priority, and teachers are looking forward to seeing their students again.
Be assured that our goal is to provide a safe learning environment for students and staff in our schools. Under Scenario 1, Clearview and schools will be implementing a number of public health measures, which include frequently cleaning of surfaces, placing hand sanitizers at school entrances and classrooms, grouping students in cohorts, and planning the school day to allow for physical distancing, which could include staggering times for classes, recesses and lunches.
We will have ongoing conversations with our staff, students and parents: the planning to date is based on all known information, and may change as new information is available.
In August, we will share more information and conduct a survey of parents and staff to hear your concerns and gather your input. Your voice and thoughts are important to us.
