Trustees and School Councils show their appreciation!

Board and School Councils celebrate our staff during the month of February

With COVID-19, the month of February was an opportunity to recognize the work of our school and support staff.  The Board of Trustees participated in Staff Appreciation this month by helping school councils provide a meal for all school staff.  Also, each staff member received a thank-you card from the Board of Trustees, and each card included a generous donation by Jewel Theatre for a movie ticket!

“We are happy to have this opportunity to show our appreciation to school staff for their incredible work and dedication to our children. This has been a tough year for everyone and the staff at Clearview has worked hard to adapt, doing an amazing job advancing our students’ education in the face of adversity.” - Bryan Rairdan, Jewel Theatre Owner

School councils and the Board of Trustees provided a lunch or other appreciations to schools to say thank you to the staff for making our schools an awesome learning experience.  Each staff member’s part of making the school year a success is appreciated.

“Our school staff and support staff make the success of our students happen.  We are truly thankful for the passion of our staff, and it is this commitment to our students that makes our school division the choice for education in our communities.  This opportunity to say thank you and show appreciation allows for us to take a moment for recognizing the commitment our staff have for students.” - Board Chair Guy Neitz

Staff Appreciation Week (February 8 to 12) is organized by the Alberta School Councils’ Association and the Canadian Home and School Federation.  The purpose of this week is to encourage parents and the wider community to recognize the personal and professional contributions that our teachers and school staff make to children and their education. Every school has dedicated teachers and staff members such as secretaries, education assistants, family school liaison staff, bus drivers, and custodians.

“Every day in education settings, teachers and school staff positively impact the lives of millions of children every day, and their work and impact extends far beyond the boundaries of the classroom.

Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week was initiated by the Canadian Home and School Federation. The purpose of this week is to encourage parents and the wider community to recognize the personal and professional contributions that teachers and school staff make to children and their learning.” - Candaian Home and School Federation
