Heartland Academy

What is Heartland Academy

Heartland Academy is open to all high school students, including those not currently enrolled in Clearview Schools. It is especially ideal for students seeking credits in career-focused areas or whose schedules don’t align with traditional school timelines.

Starting in the 2025–26 school year, the academy may expand to include home education students and others pursuing academic core programming in non-traditional ways, as well as upgrading.

Students that have completed Grade 9 in June 2025 are also eligible to enter this program.

Work Experience: Earn Credits While You Work

Looking for a summer job? You could be earning high school credits at the same time.

Heartland Academy offers flexible Work Experience programming that lets high school students turn their summer employment into high school credits.

Whether you're working in retail, agriculture, trades, customer service, healthcare or at a summer camp, your job could count toward your diploma.

Note: Students must successfully complete HCS 3000, prior to enrolling in a work experience placement. HCS 3000 will be offered by the Heartland Academy this summer.

  • Earn up to 10 credits toward graduation

  • Get recognition for skills you're already learning on the job

  • Build your resume with employer evaluations and verified hours

  • Flexible setup — no need to leave your job or change your schedule

How it works:

  • Complete a quick pre-employment orientation

  • Log your hours and duties

  • Connect with a Heartland Academy teacher to track progress

  • Finish by August 31, 2025

Already have a summer job lined up? Let’s get you started.
Don’t have one yet? We’ll help you explore options and get connected.
