A Historic Visit to Erskine School! On Monday, June 10, Her Honour Salma Lakhani, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, visited Erskine School to meet with students, staff, and tour classrooms. During her visit, Her Honour addressed students in Grades 4–9, inspiring them with a message of hope, leadership, and civic responsibility. Her Honour took time to meet with staff and explore the vibrant learning taking place across the school.

It was an unforgettable day filled with meaningful conversations, thoughtful questions, and a celebration of community. Thank you to Mrs. Hetchler for your photos from the day.

"We were so thrilled that Her Honour Lakhani could find time to visit our school to inspire and educate the future leaders of our great province and community. Sharing the story of her personal journey to Canada and her recommendation to the office of Lieutenant Governor by former Prime Minister Harper was extremely informative for staff and students alike." - Principal Jeff Lee

“Her Honour’s visit was a distinguished occasion that underscored the importance of education and democratic values in our province. Her thoughtful engagement with students encouraged them to reflect on their roles as future citizens and leaders.” - Celen Rajewski, Teacher

We are grateful to Her Honour for taking time to connect with our students and for her commitment to supporting education in Alberta.
