Rupertsland Institute Métis Centre of Excellence

Clearview Public Schools is proud to collaborate with the Rupertsland Institute Métis Centre of Excellence to enhance Métis education within our division. This partnership reflects our commitment to supporting Indigenous students and ensuring all learners benefit from inclusive, culturally enriched education.

What is Rupertsland Institute?

Rupertsland Institute (RLI) is dedicated to advancing Métis education, employment, and research. Through its Rupertsland Centre for Teaching and Learning, RLI provides innovative tools and resources that integrate Métis perspectives into classrooms, fostering awareness, respect, and a deeper understanding of Métis history and culture.

Our Partnership

Clearview Public Schools works closely with RLI through a service agreement that includes:

  • Professional Development: Ongoing training for Lead Teachers in Indigenous Education.
  • Collaborative Support: Monthly meetings to align resources and strategies.
  • Curriculum Resources: Access to culturally relevant teaching materials that empower educators to embed Métis perspectives into student learning.

Why Métis Representation Matters

Representation in education enriches the learning experience by:

  • Building awareness of Métis contributions to Canada’s history.
  • Promoting diversity, inclusivity, and cultural respect in classrooms.
  • Strengthening connections between culture, community, and education.

Together with Rupertsland Institute, Clearview is creating inclusive, student-centered learning environments where every child feels valued and supported.
