Advocacy is your opportunity to influence positive change for our division and for school boards across Alberta. We invite our community to support these important advocacy efforts.
The Board of Trustees of Clearview Public Schools, in its role as a governor and advocate for public education, has outlined key Advocacy Priorities that focus on ensuring quality education for our students. These priorities align with the needs of our students and the broader community.
You can raise your voice by sharing these priorities with your elected officials, including MLAs, Ministers, and Premier Smith.
Current Advocacy Priorities:
Clearview Public Schools is advocating for better access to health services within schools, and we need your support!
We have prepared an advocacy letter that you can fill out, print, and send to our local MLA, Honourable Nate Horner, to help push for policy changes that would allow mental health therapists, speech pathologists, and occupational therapists to provide services directly in schools.
Why This Matters:
Increased Accessibility – Ensuring students can access health services without missing valuable class time.
Reduced Strain on Families – Helping parents avoid lost work hours and long commutes to external clinics.
Better Support for Students – Integrating health and education for more effective interventions.
How You Can Help:
1. Download the advocacy letter.
2. Fill it out with your information.
3. Send it to MLA Nate Horner at drumheller.stettler@assembly.ab.ca or mail it to:
